Trion Worlds, de makers van RIFT, hebben bekend gemaakt bij update 1.7 RIFT Lite te gaan introduceren. Met deze nieuwe functie kunnen nieuwe gamers kennismaken met de game en de eerste 20 levels gratis spelen, zonder restricties.

“We think a Lite edition with no time limit is the best way for players to see what an amazing experience Rift continues to be.”
